According  to  Professor Chang Wenguang , general planner  of  the project  and  vice president  of  Chinese Culture  Research Institute , the manufacture  of  Zheng He Seven-Gem Ship was proposed  by  Beijing Zhongjin Foundation Science and Technology Development (Group) Company  and  Nanshan Culture Spreading Company,and Supervised by a large number of authoritative departments. Unique gold-encrusted craftwork was adopted for making " Zheng He Seven-Gem Ship " , which  will  ceremoniously  be  put on  the market to commemmorate the six hundredth anniversary of Zheng He's sailing west . The Long and Peaceful Voyage made by Zheng He six hundred years ago has nothing to do  with today's Trip  to  Peace made  by  Lian Zhan , Chairman  of  the Kuomintang,but the essence of striving for peace was the same,which is full of significance and worth deep thought as well.

   It is understood  that  " Zheng He Seven-Gem Ship " is the world's first immitation ship model made of gold  and  silver and inlaid in the hull with seven kinds of gems of great worth,such as dimonds,rubies, garnets, pearls, etc . Seven gems , a general term of jewelry , mean pure and true jewels in Buddhist Scripture. This immitation ship model was reduced according to the reversion model  of the large - sized Zheng He commanding ship , which  has epoch-making  innovative craftwork  with  folk knowledge  and  culture  and historical memorial value in the history of ship model collection hailed as "a world peace envoy, and the first ship model in China".

A limited amount  of  3000 models  are expected to be issued in China about on July 11th this year .
